The Quesnel Quilter's Guild is a diverse group of women - all ages and all abilities - who meet regularly to share their love of fabric and quilting, and to practice the art of quilting.
At present, there are nearly 50 members, some with years of involvement and some new to quilting and the Guild.
Meetings:
Meeting are held in the lounge at the Quesnel Arts and Recreation Centre once a week.
Meeting Times:
Day Meetings - 1st & 3rd Tuesday - 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Evening Meetings - 2nd & 4th Tuesday - 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Activities:
Our members are committed to making Community Comfort Quilts, which we donate to Amata Transition House, Victim's Services, the Fire Department and the Hopsital; these quilts are given to children and young teens for whom the comfort of a handmade quilt provides much warmth and comfort.
Members usually get together at least once a year to make comfort quilts so that we have an ample supply on hand.
Each year the Guild brings in a teacher from 'out of town' to show us a new technique and spend a day or two with members who are eager to learn.

We usually put together a show of our smaller pieces for one month a year in the Art Gallery - our theme for May 2010 is "Anything Goes!" Every three years we host a major quilt show; over the Mother's Day weekend in May of 2009 we welcomed guests to view our work in the Atrium at the new CNC/UNBC building.
