Activities:
Our members are committed to making Community Comfort Quilts, which we donate to Amata Transition House, Victim's Services, the Fire Department and the Hospital; these quilts are given to children and young teens for whom the comfort of a handmade quilt provides much warmth and comfort. Members usually get together at least once a year to make comfort quilts so that we have an ample supply on hand. Earlier this year we donated 10 of these quilts to victims of the Tsunami in our sister city, Shiraoi, Japan.
Each year the Guild brings in a teacher from 'out of town' to show us a new technique and spend a day or two with members who are eager to learn. In the Spring of 2012, Canadian Quilting Association Teacher of the Year, Dianne Jannsen will conduct a weekend workshop with us. Specific details of the workshop will be posted once they have been finalized.

We usually put together a show of our smaller pieces for one month a year in the Art Gallery. Every three years we host a major quilt show.
