Missions, Goals and Objectives:
First organized in 1970 and incorporated in 1974 to:
- Encourage and promote the art of old time fiddling in British Columbia
- Encourage, promote, and sponsor competitions and jamborees
throughout the province
- Encourage, promote, and sponsor children in the art of traditional fiddle music
- Keep the tradition of Old Time Fiddling alive by volunteering our music to
schools, civic functions, cultural and community events.
Membership:
$10.00 Per Year. Our membership consists of musicians, workers, event organizers, dance enthusiasts, and people of all ages who appreciate
music and are willing to give their support. Family oriented activities include our annual picnic, family dances, Christmas and New Year's Eve parties and the Fiddle 'Treat
at Gavin Lake'. Local instructors give lessons and organize practice sessions and performances for students of all ages.
